Our Team

Ni hao! As the Area Director for Brooklyn and Lower Manhattan, my goal is to bring quality classes to parents that are both instructional and fun! As the mother of a two year old who is learning both Mandarin and Spanish, I have always wanted to expose my daughter Ella Mei to the world of new languages from a young age.  I personally know how hard it is too learn a second language as an adult and want my daughter and your kids to have a great experience.  I am excited to hear the new words she is learning everyday at Lango! And you will too!

Sharon Ng, Lango Area Director

Lango’s teachers make our classes truly exceptional. Each of our Lango Brooklyn and Lower Manhattan teachers are native speakers and experience in creative arts and/or a masters degree. In my selection process, I looked for five distinct qualities: native/bilingual fluency, limitless positive energy, creativity, teaching experience and outstanding communication skills with both children and their parents. Beyond these qualities, though, our teachers bring unique cultural perspectives and professional backgrounds that enable them to create rich, engaging experiences in the classroom.

Bei Yi (Becky) Lin – Education Director/Teacher

Born and raised in China, Becky came to the US when she was a teenager and studied Child Psychology at Dartmouth College. She has been passionate about language and culture since an early age. As a child, she learned to speak two Chinese dialects. Thought the dialects are very different, she and all her friends were able to easily learn to speak both and compartmentalize them for different uses. Intrigued by children’s superior ability to acquire a second language, Becky chose to become a Mandarin teacher two years ago and has been enjoying it ever since. Her experience and background have given her great insights into language education. Becky also loves to travel (she has been to many places in Europe and Asia) and learn about different cultures. In the summer of 2011, she went to Beijing to receive further training, observing at local preschools for teaching tips and ideas.

Aileen Yen – Mandarin Teacher

Aileen is a native of  Taoyuan, Taiwan. She studied Arts in Zhen Sheng Christian College. After graduation, she  became a elementary school art teacher in Taipei.
